We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Fuel Handler to keep our power plant running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you’ll operate and maintain boilers, turbines, dryers, fans, pumps, motors, chemical systems, and other essential plant equipment. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values safety, reliability, and technical excellence.

WhatYou’llDo

• Conduct daily equipment checks and cleaning.
• Maintain consistent fuel supply on the walking floor to ensure uninterrupted fuel delivery to the boilers.
• Report any abnormalities to the CRO and record issues on the “FuelHandlerCheck Sheet and Heavy Equipment Inspection sheet”.
• Assist the CRO through onsite inspection and operation of plant systems and gain the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the next career progression level (Auxiliary Operator).
• Accountable to the CRO and ultimately the Assistant Plant Manager/Plant Manager and operates within the context and prescribed limits established by management.
• Monitor plant operation through visual inspection.
• Perform light maintenance activities and support operations as necessary.
• Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by CRO.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and acceptable manner.
• Demonstrate a high performance, safety-focused, and achievement-oriented manner of working.
• Ensure that assigned tools, equipment, and work area are properly maintained and secured.
• Assist Mechanical Maintenance, I&C and Operations as required time permitting.
• Shall use Three-Way radio communication to ensure safe and reliable operation of the unit.
• The fuel handler position is an entry-level position; management’s expectation is that within six months after initial hire the fuel handler will have a basic understanding and be able to explain all plant systems.
