Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM in Austin, TX seeks a Fuel Farm Operator to handle sampling, testing and basic maintenance of fuel systems and fueling vehicles. You will follow safety guidelines and contribute to quality control across storage facilities.

You must be at least 18, have a GED or high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 70 pounds. Pre-employment testing and badge/certification requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid driver's license and airport identification/seals or authorizations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing and a physical.
• Must obtain and maintain required airports and customs badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and performs basic maintenance on facilities and fuel systems.
• Supports Quality Control with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems.
• Performs routine inspections in compliance with standards.
• Transfers product and monitors storage tanks and pipelines to prevent spills and contamination.
• Keeps logs of fuel transactions, quality control and maintenance.
• Must have a flexible schedule.

Role Purpose

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Fuel Farm Operating Team, you will be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.

This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

What You Will Be Doing

• Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and performance inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
• Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
• Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
• Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
• Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
