Job summary

Katmai seeks a fuels operations specialist to manage fuels products in accordance with AFI 23-201 and DLA Energy policies. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compliance while coordinating with supporting organizations.

You will receive, store, issue and transfer petroleum products; inspect fuel facilities and equipment; perform preventive maintenance; and maintain records. A Class B California CDL with HAZMAT is required; the position is full-time on site in California.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of documented fuels experience and knowledge of DoD/DLA Energy procedures.
• Must understand fuels storage, dispensing operations and safety practices.
• Must obtain security access/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, issue, transfer petroleum products IAW Air Force Instructions and DLA-Energy policies and procedures.
• Perform dispatcher, expeditor and safety person duties as required per AFI 23-201.
• Ensure inspection forms are properly maintained and annotated.
• Receive, store, transfer, issue petroleum products in a safe manner.
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on fuel facilities and refueling equipment.
• Inventory assigned tanks and equipment and performs product rotation IAW DoD 4140.25M and DLA Energy policies.
• Comply with all safety procedures and all federal, state and local environmental regulations.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
