Job summary

Katmai Government Services seeks a fuels operations specialist to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products for supported units. You will follow AFI 23-201 and DLA-Energy procedures while performing dispatch, safety duties, and preventive maintenance on fuel facilities and equipment.

The role requires two years of relevant experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years of fuels storage and dispensing operations experience.
• Knowledge of DOD/DLA Energy and AF fuels management instructions.
• Experience with petroleum products properties and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, issue, transfer petroleum products per AFI and DLA-Energy policies.
• Perform dispatcher, expeditor and safety duties as required.
• Maintain inspection forms and ensure safe operations of fuels facilities.
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on fuel facilities and equipment.
• Inventory tanks and equipment and rotate products per policy.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
