Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager for the Telecom team in the Dallas area to lead multiple telecom projects from initiation to completion. You will coordinate engineering, operations, sales, and customer service to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and a track record of managing complex telecom initiatives. A PMP or equivalent credential is preferred, with significant experience in FTTx, long-haul, or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field such as engineering, sciences, construction planning, or related area preferred. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, with a focus on telecommunications or related industries.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
• Experience with project management tools and software, such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple telecom projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and effectively manage resources to ensure project success.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed to ensure project objectives are met.
• Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on telecom industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
