Job summary

Ezee Fiber is seeking a FTTH Network Technician to configure, install and test equipment in our FTTH control facilities. The role covers maintaining DC power, active Ethernet devices, PON OLT systems and outdoor fiber cabling in roadside telecom cabinets.

You'll work with Engineering and other teams on aggressive timelines, installing FTTH services and maintaining inventory while supporting field operations and documenting installations.

Qualifications

• Experience with telecom facilities installations.
• Fundamental networking knowledge.
• Experience with DC power systems and cabling.
• Fiber optic cabling and cable management.
• Minimum 2 years in Installer/Technician roles.
• Able to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Proficient with common computer software.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Self-motivated and able to drive projects forward.
• Capable of working outdoors for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install & maintain DC power systems, battery banks, and telecom inverters.
• Grounding and power cabling for devices.
• Install & maintain facilities sensor equipment.
• Routine monitoring of facilities' environment.
• Install & test FTTH services and equipment.
• Provide field support to Network Engineering.
• Collect documentation for FTTH facilities.
• Maintain FTTH network equipment inventory.
• Test & validate new FTTH zones.
• Provide technical support to other departments.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and internal contacts.
