Job summary

Ezee Fiber in Houston, TX is seeking a FTTH Network Technician to configure, install, and test equipment in our control facilities. The role involves maintaining DC power systems, active Ethernet devices, PON OLTs, and fiber cabling outside in roadside telecom cabinets, coordinating with Engineering for timely installations.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent experience, strong telecom wiring skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• Experience with telecom facilities installations.
• Basic understanding of networking components.
• Mastery of MS Office applications.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Preferred knowledge of Eltek power systems.
• CCNA or CompTIA Network certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install & maintain DC power systems, battery banks, and telecom inverters.
• Grounding and power cabling of devices.
• Install & maintain facilities sensor equipment.
• Routine monitoring of facilities' environment.
• Installation & testing of FTTH services & equipment.
• Provide field support to Network Engineering group.
• Collect documentation for FTTH facilities.
• Assist in maintaining FTTH network equipment inventory.
• Testing & validation of new FTTH zones.
• Provide technical expertise to other departments.
• Maintain relationships with contractors & internal contacts.
