Bruker Optics in St. Louis, MO seeks a Field Service Engineer to install and support high-technology Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometers in research labs.

You will perform on-site installations, calibrations, tests and customer training, diagnose complex issues, and qualify systems; travel up to 70% and attend training in Germany. Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $137,000 with benefits including 401(k) with company match, stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; equivalent military training.
• Minimum 4 years diagnosing and repairing electronic, electromechanical, and optical equipment.
• Willingness to travel ~70% and able to obtain access for government facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, testing and customer training of FTIR spectrometers.
• Diagnose problems via in-depth troubleshooting and perform repairs.
• Perform on-site preventive maintenance and validation.
• Schedule coordination with customers for visits and remote support.
• Attend product training in Bruker facility in Germany.
• Communicate with Service and Support Centers and project teams.
• Maintain documentation and ensure customer acceptance.
