Job description

As In‑house Service Engineer, the individual will be responsible for customer support, engineer support, repair of spectrometers, accessories and occasional local field service. The candidate must have strong customer skills, the ability to travel, make travel arrangements, schedule calls with customers and make decisions on repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and e‑mail support to both customers and Bruker personnel.
• Issue RMA numbers to customers.
• Log and update RMA in SAP.
• Contact customers to inform them of the status of their repair.
• Conduct in‑house repair of spectrometers and accessories.
• Maintain and update customer data in SAP.
• Assist in tasks related to ISO.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to requests on time.
• Keep certifications current (validation and instrument training).
• Provide on‑site service as required.
• Prepare expense reports, book travel and process service reports.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., ASEE certification with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows‑based operating systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Proven ability to collaborate and interact with customers and/or technical teams.
• Experience working with FTIR instrumentation or in a highly technical environment preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel, including domestic and international travel for factory training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily office‑based environment with extended time spent using a computer and telephone.
• Occasional lifting and movement of equipment, including preparing items for shipment.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full‑time position is between 71,000 USD and 113,000 USD and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job‑related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position.
