Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support under BCBA supervision. You will help students develop communication and life skills, implement individualized programs, and track progress in a positive, engaging classroom environment while supporting inclusive education.

In-person hours are Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–3:00 PM with 10:00 AM–2:00 PM as minimum availability; pay is $22–$28 per hour,

Qualifications

• RBT certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s in related field preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Required immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance.

About the Role:

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 3:00PM.
• Minimum Availability: Monday to Friday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
• Pay: $22 - $28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
