LSS Canyon Hills Center in Sioux Falls seeks a passionate individual to provide residential care to youth aged 10–17 with various mental health, behavioral, and related challenges. Join an interdisciplinary team and help create a safe, supportive environment.

Full-time and part-time positions available with AM/PM hours. Benefits include bonuses for external candidates, 401(k) match, PTO, and extensive medical plans. Must meet background checks and driver’s license requirements.

Formación

• Must have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Experience working with youth is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social sciences (preferred), OR at least 60 semester credits and one year of experience working with children; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Work with an interdisciplinary team, conduct groups, supervise youth in community settings.
• Safeguard residents and staff by following child protection policies and maintaining health and safety.

SALARY: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Dependent on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide residential care to youth ages 10yr to 17yr who have a variety of mental health, behavioral, substance abuse, and legal issues. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, conduct groups, supervise youth in community settings, and provide a positive and healthy environment through role modeling. Ensure child protection policies are followed. Safeguard residents and staff through appropriate physical intervention if necessary. Transport residents and uphold health and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Experience working with youth, is preferred.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social sciences (preferred), OR
  • At least 60 semester credits and one year of experience working with children; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Be at least 21 years old and willing to complete agency background checks.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license or obtain one with approved driver status.
• Must successfully complete all required agency background checks, including checks for criminal convictions involving behavior harmful toward children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
