Kansas City Bone & Joint is opening an outpatient OT clinic in Overland Park, KS. We are seeking a Full-Time Licensed Occupational Therapist to join our growing therapy team in the Kansas City metro area.

As part of a well-established orthopedic organization, you will work with an experienced team in a collaborative, physician-integrated environment. Candidates with strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master of Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, active OT license in Kansas (or ability to obtain before start date).
• New graduates welcome; outpatient orthopedics experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Working knowledge of EMR/electronic medical records.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs that restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. The therapist will work closely with physicians, patients, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and establish individualized plans of care.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programs to meet patient goals.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinic culture.
• Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, company policies, and professional practice guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the State of Kansas (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
• New graduates and experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and electronic medical records.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required pre-employment screenings.
