RiverWoods Exeter is hiring a Life Engagement Facilitator (Activities Assistant) to join our healthcare team. The role focuses on leading group activities and promoting active lifestyles for residents with diverse cognitive and physical needs.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, healthcare experience is a plus, and a positive team mindset is essential. This is a full-time role with a 5-day work week and every third weekend requirement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; continued education in related field preferred.
• Preferred experience in healthcare or related field.
• Experience with residents or activities coordination is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Connect with residents to lead group activities and share enriching experiences to promote purpose and meaning in their lives.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities program of the facility; follow Life Engagement Manager directions.
• Develop professional relationships with residents, family members, coworkers and supervisors to enable open communication and teamwork.

Life Engagement Facilitator/ Activities Assistant- Full Time

RiverWoods Exeter is currently hiring for a Life Engagement Facilitator (Activities Assistant) to join our Heathcare team and work with our residents towards leading a more active lifestyle and engaging in programs with our residents, many of whom have greater cognitive and physical support needs. This is a full time position working a 5 day work week)- additionally working every 3rd weekend required.

Responsibilities

This position will connect with residents, lead group activities and share enriching experiences to promote purpose and meaning in their lives. A positive attitude, flexibility, and commitment to teamwork are essential. Computer skills are also preferred.

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities program of the facility. Implement activity procedures as directed by the Life Engagement Manager by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment and crafts, escorting residents to and from activity areas, assist in scheduling residents for activities, supervise activities as necessary.


• Encourage residents to participate in activities, promote conversations with residents on a regular basis, routinely visit residents, conduct individual and/or group activities to encourage purpose and meaning in the lives of the residents.


• Develops professional relationships with a wide range of residents, family members, co-workers and supervisors which allows open communication based on mutual respect.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required. Continued education in related field preferred but not required.

Preferred experience in healthcare or related field.
