Job summary

Hickory Trail Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking Licensed Program Therapists to support inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care for diverse age groups in DeSoto, Texas. You will provide therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and family therapy within a compassionate team.

The role requires a Master's in Social Work or related field with state licensure; CPR/CPI or HWC training is required prior to start.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field is required.
• One year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health hospital setting preferred; internship acceptable.
• Must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field (LPC, LMSW, LCSW, RN, LFMT). CPR and CPI or HWC training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in meeting biopsychosocial needs and provide therapeutic skills.
• Provide crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and information/referrals as needed.
• Deliver specialized clinical social work services for patients and families.

What You’ll Do - Program Therapist

The Program Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and references as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
• Experience: One (1) year experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health hospital setting preferred. Experience may be obtained as an intern.
• Licensure: Must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field. LPC, LMSW, or LCSW, RN, LFMT license required.
• Additional: CPR and CPI or HWC training must be completed prior to beginning work. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
