Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood, IN seeks an Intake Clinician for nights to support the access center. You will assess patient needs, facilitate service requests, coordinate referrals, and liaise with managed care and external reviewers.

Works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, appropriate care and may interface with community ER crisis contacts. Qualified candidates hold a licensed master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field (RN BSN preferred) and have 1–2

Position Summary

The Access Center Intake Clinician is responsible for the facilitation of requests for services, assessment of patient/family clinical needs, referrals to appropriate resources and services. The Intake Clinician works as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive appropriate care. The clinicians also interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, other payers, and as needed crisis calls to community ERs.

Monday – Friday 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (No weekends)

Qualifications

Education: License Eligible master's degree in social work, counseling, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field or RN (preferably BSN) required.

Licensure: Licensed in field, preferred.

Experience: Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, addiction and recovery field required. 1-2 years of experience in psychiatric health care preferred. Previous experience in the mental health field, preferred.
