Jill’s House, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual disabilities at our respite facility in Vienna, VA. This part-time role focuses on compassionate care, guidance, and daily living support on weekday shifts.

Responsibilities include supervising clients, assisting with activities, and following each person’s service plan to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. Training is provided; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old, high school graduate or GED.
• Experience in caregiving or supportive roles is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.

Jill’s House is seeking Direct Support Professionals to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our fully accessible respite resort in Vienna, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC.

Training and professional development is provided so experience is not required.

We are especially in need of compassionate team members available to serve on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Your willingness to fill this need would be a tremendous blessing to the families we serve.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for:

• The guidance and supervision of individuals to whom they are assigned.
• Performing a combination of basic care, assistance with activities of daily living, and activity guidance in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Following each client’s service plan and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Available Shifts:

• Tuesdays & Thursdays: 2 PM - 9 PM

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years old,high school graduate or GED.
• At least six months successful experience is preferred.
• W eekend shift availability is required.
• S atisfatory oral and written communication skills are required.
• Must possess strong collaboration and teamwork skills, patience, and a desire to learn new things and grow.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and maintain stamina for long periods of time.
• Must a ffirm the McLean Bible Church Vision and Values as well as abide by the Standards of Christian Conduct.
