Job summary

Jill’s House, a Christian nonprofit affiliated with McLean Bible Church, seeks Direct Support Professionals to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities at our Vienna, VA respite facility. Training is provided, and no experience is required.

We especially need helpers for Wednesday and Friday mornings, with available shifts Tuesdays & Thursdays 2 PM–9 PM. Part-time opportunities include benefits for employees working at least 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience preferred but not required.
• weekend shift availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Guide and supervise individuals as assigned.
• Provide basic care and assist with activities of daily living.

Jill’s House is seeking Direct Support Professionals to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our fully accessible respite resort in Vienna, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC.

Training and professional development is provided so experience is not required.

We are especially in need of compassionate team members available to serve on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Your willingness to fill this need would be a tremendous blessing to the families we serve.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for:

• The guidance and supervision of individuals to whom they are assigned.
• Performing a combination of basic care, assistance with activities of daily living, and activity guidance in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Following each client’s service plan and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Available Shifts:

• Tuesdays & Thursdays: 2 PM - 9 PM

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years old,high school graduate or GED.
• At least six months successful experience is preferred.
• W eekend shift availability is required.
• S atisfactory oral and written communication skills are required.
• Must possess strong collaboration and teamwork skills, patience, and a desire to learn new things and grow.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and maintain stamina for long periods of time.
• Must a ffirm the McLean Bible Church Vision and Values as well as abide by the Standards of Christian Conduct.
