Job summary

Bancroft is hiring Direct Support Professionals for the Gloucester Program in Woolwich, NJ. This onsite role supports individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, following behavioral plans and daily living assistance with a focus on safety and compassion.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate and full benefits; shift is 3rd with weekend coverage. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 18 years old.
• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License in legal name and current address; one year driving experience.
• Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, money management, housekeeping).
• Provide personal care and supervision to support life skills and transition to less restrictive settings.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Complete paperwork and maintain regular documentation; communicate with residents, families and guardians.
