Primary Purpose

Deliver quality customer service within the Deli Bakery Department by maintaining standards according to the practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent service, and minimizing shrink through proper practices.

Responsibilities

1. Provide enthusiastic, fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
2. Be courteous and helpful to fellow associates.
3. Understand the use of ingredients, mixes, icings, and color coordination.
4. Follow production standards and technical manuals for processing products, label placement, etc.
5. Maintain proper sanitation, food handling, and preparation standards.
6. Manage ordering, receiving, preparation, and display of merchandise per policies.
7. Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices.
8. Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety protocols, report unsafe conditions and accidents.
9. Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
10. Wear the Food Lion uniform properly and maintain a neat appearance.
11. Utilize company tools like ACIS and CAO effectively.
12. Complete required training courses successfully.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to solve problems using technical information.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, with or without accommodations.

Physical Requirements

• Proficiency with computers and communication systems.
