Duties and Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
• Mix and color frosting, make and load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes with colored frosting.
• Take, complete, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation habits.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have valid identification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to perform job duties and comply with policies and safety regulations.
• Complete a 60-day introductory (probationary) period.
• Meet ergonomic, physical requirements, and base scores for the position.
• Ability to use or learn to use job-related equipment and tools.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wearing proper, approved clothing and shoes is required.
• Preferred: 1 year of work experience or technical training.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more based on business needs.
• Job involves continual movement with maximum activity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 55% of the time, walk 45%.
• Category IV physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs., static pull up to 20 lbs.
