Position Overview: As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Key duties include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively, resolve inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under Store Manager’s guidance.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, etc.
• Flexible availability for full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
