Job summary

A Second Chance, Inc. is seeking a full-time Family Services & Transportation worker in Pittsburgh, PA. You will transport children to medical, school and family visits, interact with families, and help prepare case records in a flexible schedule.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (associate preferred), one year in a child-related role, strong documentation and communication, and proficiency with Office 365. Requires PA license and verified driving record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; associate degree in a social work-related field preferred.
• One year of experience working in a child-related position either in a professional or volunteer capacity.
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to interact with children and adapt to change; proficient with modern tech incl. Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Assist A Second Chance, Inc. with transportation of children to medical, school and family visitation appointments.
• Interact with children and families; observe and provide safety assessments.
• Deliver and pick-up documents as required; assist programs with substitute caregiver visits and placement visits.

Responsibilities

• To assist A Second Chance, Inc. with the transportation of children serviced by the programs to medical, school and family visitation appointments
• Interact with children and families
• Observe and provide safety assessments
• Deliver and pick-up documents as required
• Assist programs with various tasks including but not limited to substitute caregiver visits, and placement visits, as needed
• Assist in the preparation of case records
• All other duties assigned based on organizational needs

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
• Registered and insured vehicle
• Certificate of Insurance for vehicle
• Valid PA Inspection (even if vehicle is registered in another state)
• Valid/Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Current Act 33, Police Clearance and FBI Clearance
• City/County travel

Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

This position reports directly to the Family Services & Transportation Supervisor II
