Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician to uphold high standards of safety and quality across production lines. You will inspect products and plant systems, document results, and take corrective action as needed to protect consumer safety.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to read product specifications, and the flexibility to work overtime or weekends. Physical work includes lifting and standing for long periods in a cold/hot environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
• Documenting and calculating results accurately.
• Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
• Handling additional assignments as requested.
