SUMMARY:

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician position is responsible for:

1. Performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, then documenting and calculating results accurately.
2. Taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management.
3. Any additional assignments requested.
4. All team members are responsible for safety, including personal safety and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance experience.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Special Skills: Ability to complete Tyson paperwork; lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; function well under stress; flexibility to work where and when needed.
• Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
• Sponsorship: Not available for this position.
