FSQA Technician 5 - All Shifts - Albany Plant

Job Details:

As a Quality Assurance Technician 5, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and plant systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Conduct Inspections: Perform thorough physical and visual inspections of our products and plant systems to ensure everything meets our high standards.
  2. Document & Report: Accurately document and calculate inspection results and report your findings to management.
  3. Take Action: Proactively take corrective actions, alert the appropriate personnel to adjust processes, and identify, segregate, and isolate non-conforming products.
  4. Collaborate: Work closely with your team and management to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
  5. Additional Assignments: Be ready to take on any additional tasks that contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in an FSQA role or other QA-related experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; will interact with USDA and other contacts.
  • Special Skills:
    • Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
    • Leadership abilities to motivate the hourly workforce.
    • Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
    • Solid math and organizational skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
    • Ability to function well under stress.
    • Flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as needed.
Physical Requirements:

Position involves heavy lifting (40 lbs. or more). May include lifting, standing, and walking for long periods.
