Job summary

ManpowerGroup is assisting a leading food manufacturing organization in Columbus, OH seeking a FSQA Supervisor to drive HACCP, SSOP and SOP adherence. The role supports plant operations within the Food Safety and Quality Assurance department, focusing on continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a degree in food science or microbiology or equivalent leadership experience, HACCP certification, and strong communication skills to coordinate with audits and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of QA/FS leadership experience.
• HACCP certification and GFSI (BRC) experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and highly organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, Food Safety and Sanitation principles.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee HACCP plans, SSOP, and SOP.
• Maintain and monitor the food safety system for quality and safety.
• Ensure USDA regulatory compliance and act as primary USDA inspector contact.
• Lead audits including GFSI (BRC) and customer standards.
• Manage positive E. coli events, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a FSQA Supervisor to join their team. As a FSQA Supervisor, you will be part of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance department supporting the plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: FSQA Supervisor

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000

What's the Job?

• Implement and oversee Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Maintain and monitor the food safety system, driving continuous improvements in product quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulatory requirements and serve as the primary contact for USDA inspectors.
• Lead and support audits, including GFSI (BRC), customer standards, and facility sanitation assessments.
• Manage positive E. coli events, documentation, and communication with stakeholders, including plant operations and corporate FSQA management.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field, or 5 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety leadership.
• HACCP certification and experience with GFSI food safety standards (BRC preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
• Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, Food Safety, and Sanitation principles.
