Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. in New York is seeking an FSQA Sanitation Technician responsible for hands-on food safety verification during sanitation cycles and production transitions, ensuring sanitation and GMP compliance across the facility.

You will review records, verify sanitizing solutions, monitor temperatures, and maintain real-time documentation, with authority to flag non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with the FSQA team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in food safety, quality control, or related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required for team communication.
• Food safety training (HACCP basics, ServSafe, or similar) preferred or willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Review food safety records and start-of-shift checks.
• Verify sanitizing solutions and perform equipment verification checks.
• Monitor temperatures and GMP compliance on the production floor.
• Ensure SSOP, GMP, PPE, and pre-operational standards are followed.
• Flag non-conformance and notify supervisor; coordinate with FSQA when holds occur.
• Maintain real-time food safety documentation and close records at shift end.
• Conduct post-sanitation pre-operational inspections and environmental monitoring on a schedule.
