Job summary

S&D Coffee seeks a FSQA Process Improvement Supervisor to supervise process lines at our RTD beverage plant. You will oversee food safety/quality checks, track quality data, and collaborate across departments to implement cloud-based quality systems.

Experience with SQF is required; BS in science preferred; BPC certification is a plus. The role emphasizes leading FSQA staff, ensuring compliance, and driving quality improvements in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in science or related field required.
  • Two to five years QA experience preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience with food safety auditing, GMPs, pest control and HACCP knowledge preferred.
  • ISO background preferred.
  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel.
  • Strong initiative and proactive issue anticipation.
  • Sound math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise FSQA shift employees and direct daily work to meet safety and quality parameters.
  • Oversee trial runs to capture specifications and documentation.
  • Perform QA testing, record results, and complete paperwork timely.
  • Track KPI metrics in Safety chain and create automated reports.
  • Assist in implementing safety chain across processes and train staff.
  • Maintain QA standards and procedures including testing, data collection, and traceability.
  • Analyze issues with out-of-tolerance quality, holds, and rejects; support RCA/CAPA.
  • Write or refine policies and procedures for quality control programs.
  • May serve as internal auditor and assist in risk analysis, SQF and customer audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required to obtain BPC Certification (Better Process Control).

Job Description

We are currently seeking a FSQA Process Improvement Supervisor. This position will be responsible for supervision of process lines at our RTD beverage manufacturing plant. Responsibilities will include overseeing day to day food safety and food quality checks on manufacturing lines, tracking and trending quality data, investigating complaints and challenges on processing lines. May be responsible for oversight of FSQA technologists and manage their work schedule. Responsible for working with personnel in different aspects of FSQA to implement cloud‑based quality systems. This position will interface with Manufacturing, Product Development, Logistics, Warehouse, and other departments within the company. The successful candidate will have experience with SQF systems.

Job Duties
  • Supervise FSQA shift employees and direct their daily work processes to ensure food safety and quality parameters are met.
  • Trial run oversight to ensure all specification and documentation requirements are captured.
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing, record results, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Track key KPI metrics in Safety chain and create automatic report creation of key metrics.
  • Help with safety chain implementation throughout different processes in the plant and train employees to use safety chain to collect data.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards and procedures (including testing procedures, data collection and product traceability).
  • Analyze problems related to out‑of‑tolerance quality, holds, rejects and RCA/CAPA programs.
  • Write or refine policy and procedures relative to quality control programs.
  • May serve as an internal auditor and assist in risk analysis, SQF and customer audits if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required to obtain BPC Certification (Better Process Control).
Qualifications
  • BA/BS required. Prefer degree to be in a science discipline.
  • Two to five years QA related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Food Safety/Security auditing procedures including GMPs, Pest Control practices and procedures, Bio‑Terrorism knowledge and HACCP certification preferred.
  • ISO background preferred.
  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel.
  • Strong initiative, ability to anticipate issues proactively.
  • Sound math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
