Job summary

Westrock Coffee is seeking an FSQA Lab Tech I to support lab operations and product testing, ensuring quality and compliance through thorough inspection, sampling, and documentation. The role emphasizes teamwork and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will handle waste management, shipping/receiving for the Micro Lab, and routine errands including sample pickups and courier drop-offs, contributing to finished goods testing of PET products and pre-retort cans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; degree preferred.
• 1-2 years' experience with quality inspection, auditing, data collection, and testing.
• 6 months experience in a lab setting
• Experience with Microsoft Office and office-based database systems.
• Ability to understand department documents
• Ability to display sound logic and attention to details
• Ability to communicate comfortably and work with co-workers in a team environment
• Ability to follow a schedule, as well as verbal and written instructions
• Read and speak English
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in science or quality technology preferred
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
• Respond quickly to information request from internal and external customers
• Ability to follow SOPs

Responsibilities

• Maintain lab housekeeping by managing waste, cleaning benchtops, cleaning carts, sanitizing biological safety cabinets, de-cluttering lab, other duties as assign, etc.
• Manage shipping and receiving packages for the Micro Lab
• Complete any errands including but not limited to sample pick-up (when needed), courier package drop-off, and any outside lab errands
• Finished Goods analytical testing of PET products and pre-retort cans
