Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join the hospital's pharmacy team as a FSED Pharmacist. The role involves compounding, verifying orders, clinical consults with physicians, supervising technicians, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with clinicians, monitor high-risk medications, participate in drug procurement and education, and help maintain medication safety across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist required.
• Doctorate Degree required.
• 1 year hospital experience or Residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs or supervises compounding, preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications in accordance with regulations and hospital policies.
• Reviews physician orders for appropriateness and ensures safe dispensing and labeling of medications.
• Provides clinical supervision and education to pharmacy staff and students including technicians.
• Assists the Pharmacy Director in medication security and inventory control.
• Consults with physicians and nurses to provide drug information and clinical services as requested.
• Participates in drug procurement, receiving, storage and floor stock control.
• Monitors high-risk medications and assists physicians with dosing calculations based on patient parameters.
• Collaborates with clinicians to monitor patient outcomes and education efforts.
