TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the Free Standing Emergency Department in Hendersonville, TN. This full-time role supports patient care across shifts and includes weekend/holiday rotation.

You will work with physicians and nursing staff to ensure accurate dispensing, drug interactions review, and participation in quality initiatives while managing pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Pharmacy, Bachelors or Doctorate Degree
• Licensure in the State of TN. Board Certification preferred
• One-year hospital experience preferred. Residency preferred
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsabilités

• You will utilize good problem-solving abilities, making sure that problems are resolved, calling on other knowledgeable parties as necessary.
• You will maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispense accordingly.
• You will consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.
• You will determine and consult on possible drug interactions.
• You will assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• You will monitor, record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will utilize knowledge of age-specific needs of patients in performance of duties and responsibilities.
• You will be the pharmacist in charge and responsible for management of compliance and pharmacy operations at the FSED.
