Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care and monitor therapies to optimize patient outcomes. The role focuses on clinical interventions, interprofessional collaboration, and adherence to hospital policies.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Tennessee Pharmacist license and a hospital pharmacy background, with ACS/BLS compliance within 60 months and a Doctorate or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Current TN Pharmacist licensure or eligible for licensure.
• One-year hospital experience or equivalent.
• Hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• Doctorate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.

Responsibilities

• Utilize problem-solving abilities to resolve issues, consulting with others as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and regulations and dispense accordingly.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.
• Determine and consult on possible drug interactions.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor, record and communicate using computerized documentation systems.
• Apply knowledge of age-specific needs of patients in performance of duties.
