Job summary

POM Wonderful is seeking a Fruit Evaluation professional to support the Agriculture Operations team in California. You will assist in evaluation, harvest coordination, data entry, and supervision of seasonal crews, while ensuring safety and quality standards across multiple ranches.

The role requires travel to fields, familiarity with food safety regulations, and strong communication and organizational skills to handle diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Fruit evaluation experience, preferably within a production/manufacturing setting.
• Supplementary training and/or designations related to quality assurance or food safety desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a valid Driver's License to operate a company vehicle.
• Assist in Fruit Evaluation Management team duties.
• Monitor crop volumes and fruit sizing across ranches.
• Track trees for in-field fruit cataloging of characteristics and growth.
• Assist in the harvest sequence and direction of harvest crews.
• Learn fruit sampling techniques for grading and maturity analysis.
• Assist in data entry and management of scientific resources.
• Training and supervision of seasonal workers.
• Frequent travel to fields; vehicle, fuel and water provided.
• May work swing shifts.
• Familiarity with state food safety laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Ability to communicate results effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle.
• Ability to set up and use a ladder.
