Job summary

POM Wonderful is seeking personnel to monitor pre-harvest and harvest activities, track bloom, estimate crop yields, assist harvest sequencing, and collect fruit samples for lab analysis. Base compensation is $19.25 per hour.

The role includes driving responsibilities, supervision of seasonal workers, and frequent field travel with transportation provided. Prior fruit evaluation or QA experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Fruit Evaluation experience in agriculture preferred in production/manufacturing.
• Supplementary training or designations in quality assurance or food safety desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a valid Driver's License to operate a company vehicle.
• Assist in Fruit Evaluation Management team duties.
• Monitor crop volumes and fruit sizing across ranches.
• Track trees for in-field fruit cataloging of characteristics and growth.
• Assist in harvest sequence and direction of crews.
• Learn fruit sampling techniques for grading and maturity analysis.
• Assist in data entry and management of scientific resources.
• Training and supervision of seasonal workers.
• Frequent travel to fields (vehicle, fuel and water provided).
• May work swing shifts.
