High Liner Foods USA is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Newport News, VA to supervise put-away, picking and shipment of frozen products. You’ll assign workloads, ensure accurate BOLs, and coordinate daily shipping schedules with drivers and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift experience including Stand Up, Sit Down and Pallet Jack.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to lead, train and counsel subordinates.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, problem solving, interpersonal, negotiation and communications skills.
• English literacy to follow detailed verbal and written instructions and engage in negotiations.
• Reliability in attendance and performance.
• Willingness to work overtime and some weekends.
• Root-cause analysis and corrective action capability.

Responsibilities

• Leads team primarily in put-away, order picking, stacking, loading and shipment of Icelandic frozen products.
• Assigns daily workload for Warehouse Freezer Associates including cycle counts and area cleanup.
• Directs loading of orders on outbound trucks and coordinates with carriers.
• Ensures accuracy of Bills of Lading (BOLs) and prints schedules for shipping.
• Monitors daily work performance, productivity and accuracy of staff.
• Conducts forklift training and safety checks for associates.
