Job summary

Dole Packaged Foods is seeking a production associate to ensure safe production and high quality of Frozen Fruit. You will operate, maintain and sanitize packaging equipment, while following GMP, HACCP and company procedures.

The role requires physical tasks, shift flexibility, and compliance with safety rules. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, materials handling, and proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as box markings, labels, schedules, safety rules, GMP’s and general instructions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process and equipment.
• Previous operating experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment.
• Reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to operate manual and motorized pallet jack and walkie stacker.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company Safety Rules and GMPs and adhere to JSA guidelines.
• Follow all SOPs for the operation of the equipment used.
• Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner.
• Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available.
• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed.
• Follow specific machine operating procedures and make adjustments as necessary.
• Follow daily set up and/or shutdown procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Make adjustments to check weighers, metal detectors and codes as required.
• Expected to achieve established performance standards.
• Maintain appropriate level of raw materials to minimize downtime.
• Work in all areas of production and packaging as assigned.
• Ability to perform essential functions and be a team member.
• Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Complete routine documentation for manufacture of product.
• Identify visual defects and correct as needed, and distinguish colors.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Relieve other associates as necessary.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Regular attendance.
• Perform duties in a compliant and ethical manner per laws and policies.
• Follow Dole Packaged Foods Code of Conduct.
• Other duties as assigned
