Job summary

Dole Packaged Foods, McDonough Operations, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support the processing and packaging of frozen fruit. Work is available on first and second shifts with weekend flexibility as needed.

The technician will inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair diverse mechanical equipment in a food manufacturing setting, including pumps, conveyors, valves and motors, while adhering to safety and CMMS practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; associates preferred in mechanical or electrical.
• Minimum two years journey-level experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of processing and packaging machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains facility equipment.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Responds to equipment breakdowns.
• Operates forklifts and shop tools.
• Maintains preventative maintenance records and uses CMMS.
• Follows lockout/tagout safety procedures.
• Plans jobs from blueprints and keeps records.
