Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a part-time Security Guard to monitor entrances and protect staff, patients, and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, screen bags, and report any safety concerns to the Loss Prevention Supervisor.

State of Hawaii Guard Card.
Must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

Maintain an alert and highly visible position at or near the main entrance to deter shoplifters, robberies, and other security problems.
Present a professional manner, welcoming customers entering and exiting the store.
Monitor entrants with large bags or backpacks and inspect items as needed.
Check all boxes leaving the store.
Perform floor checks as requested by management.
Secure the front door at closing time and monitor exits.
Report safety hazards or suspicious activity to the on-duty manager.
Keep an incident log for shift activities and incident reports.
Communicate incidents to management and Loss Prevention.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, assist with disruptive individuals.
Perform any other tasks deemed necessary by management.
