Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Security Guard role is to patrol and monitor the main entrance, deter security incidents, and assist customers with a professional presence. The position requires a Hawaii Guard Card, a high school diploma, and the applicant being at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities include logging incidents, reporting to the Loss Prevention Supervisor, and following established security procedures, while maintaining calm and cooperative interactions with staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State of Hawaii Guard Card required.
• Must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an alert, highly visible post at the main entrance to deter shoplifters, robberies, and other security problems.
• Present yourself professionally and greet customers entering and exiting the store.
• Monitor for large bags/backpacks or suspicious items.
• Check all boxes leaving the store.
• Perform floor checks as requested by management.
• Secure and monitor the front door at closing.
• Report safety hazards or suspicious activities to the on‑duty manager.
• Maintain an incident log and file incident reports with the Loss Prevention Department.
• Communicate incidents to on‑duty management and comply with company policies.
