Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a Security Guard to monitor staff and visitors for security and safety concerns. You will stand alertly at entrances, observe for potential issues, and report incidents to the Loss Prevention team.

Requirements include a High School diploma and a Hawaii Guard Card, with a minimum age of 18. This full-time position involves following policies and collaborating with management to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State of Hawaii Guard Card required.
• Must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an alert and highly visible position at or near the main entrance to deter shoplifters, robberies, and other security problems.
• Acknowledge customers entering and exiting the store in a professional manner.
• Be aware of anyone entering the store with large bags, backpacks, etc.
• Check all boxes that leave the store.
• Perform floor checks as requested by management.
• Secure and watch the front door at store closing.
• Report safety hazards or suspicious activity to the manager on duty.
• Maintain an incident log and documentation for review by management.
• Fill out incident reports for security issues and forward to Loss Prevention.
• Communicate all incidents to management promptly.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures.
• Assist management in removing disruptive individuals.
• Perform any other tasks deemed necessary by management.
