Apple Valley Waste is hiring a Helper in West Virginia to support our growing waste and recycling operations. You will contribute to safety, service quality, and operational excellence while working with a high-performance team.

The role involves assisting the driver, performing heavy lifting, and navigating varied environments to ensure efficient collection and disposal processes. Opportunities for growth exist as the company scales its operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70+ pounds during a typical shift.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist the driver in picking up trash and disposing of it in the truck.
• Operate lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery when needed.
• Assist the driver with backing up the truck in tight spaces or difficult environments.
• Perform heavy lifting and assist with sorting and loading materials.
• Navigate streets, alleyways, highways, and construction sites.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Ensure proper disposal of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
