Laramie County Library System in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is seeking a Circulation Assistant to welcome patrons, help them locate materials, assist with library technology, and keep collections moving in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong customer service, accurate data entry, and the ability to work evenings or weekends when the library is open.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service to patrons in person and by phone, assisting with library accounts, materials, questions, general needs and directions.
• Perform circulation and materials handling functions including check-in and check-out, shelving, processing daily notifications to the public, and maintaining collections.
• Assist patrons with library technology and equipment, including public computers, self-check kiosks, copiers, and meeting room audiovisual equipment.
• Support access to collections through readers’ advisory, basic reference assistance, pulling materials for branches, and maintaining first-floor readiness.
• Protect patron confidentiality, and complete other duties as assigned.
