Job summary

Mid-Continent Public Library in Raytown, MO is seeking a Part Time Professional Customer Service Associate I. The role focuses on providing exceptional in-person and phone customer service at the desk and helping patrons navigate library resources.

Responsibilities include guiding customers, demonstrating digital services, recommending materials, assisting with library accounts, and occasional curbside deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to guide customers and operate library resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in person and over the phone.
• Guide customers in using library resources.
• Demonstrate technology and digital services to customers.
• Recommend materials to customers based on interests, needs and availability.
• Assist customers with library card accounts, including the receiving and recording of payment.
• Deliver materials outdoors to customers who request curbside delivery.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the library collection.
