Job summary

Mid-Continent Public Library in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Full-Time Customer Service Associate I. You will be the first point of contact for patrons, delivering friendly, solution-oriented service at the desk and over the phone.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00am–6:00pm with one weekend per month and potential evening shifts. A high school diploma and customer-service mindset are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service in person and over the phone.
• Guides customers in use of library resources and services.
• Demonstrates use of technology and digital services to customers.
• Recommends materials based on interests and availability.
• Assists customers with library card accounts, including payments.
• Delivers materials outdoors to curbside delivery requests.
• Maintains library collection with shelving and neat arrangement.
