Job summary

Mid-Continent Public Library in Camden Point, MO is seeking a Part Time Customer Service Associate II to deliver exceptional service at the desk and over the phone, and to assist with day-to-day library needs, including curbside delivery.

This role requires a High School diploma, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to handle a variety of shifts, including evenings and every other Saturday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/HiSet/GED Completion Required.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced library environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides Customer Service in person and over the phone.
• Acts as a guide for customers in use of the library and its resources.
• Demonstrates use of technology and digital services to customers.
• Recommends materials to customers based on interests, needs and availability.
• Assists customers with library card accounts, including the receiving and recording of payment.
• Delivers materials outdoors to customers who request curbside delivery.
• Maintains the library collection and shelf presentation.
• Manages behind-the-scenes processes and coordinates inventory as assigned.
