Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Respond to residential and commercial fire, EMS and rescue calls.
• Select, connect and operate hoses to extinguish fires.
• Climb ladders and use firefighting tools and equipment.
• Locate, rescue and remove victims from danger.
• Ventilate buildings and perform forcible entry as needed.
• Maintain apparatus, facilities and equipment in readiness.
• Conduct regular drills on firefighting, hazmat and EMS.
• Educate public on fire prevention and safety practices.
