Job summary

Tohono O'odham Nation in Sells, AZ seeks a Paramedic to provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care in emergencies. Base hospital protocols govern care and patient transport within TONHC facilities and surrounding service area.

The role requires Arizona Paramedic certification, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and at least one year of paramedic experience. You will work under Base Hospital supervision and may relocate temporarily to TONHC facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience as a Paramedic.
• State of Arizona Paramedic certification.
• CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Independently conducts complete patient assessments and provides advanced care.
• Identify life-threatening vs non-life-threatening conditions and apply AZ DHS protocols.
• Assist with moving and transporting patients to emergency facilities.
• Treat fractures, dislocations, and other trauma-related injuries with ALS techniques.
• Triage patients, request needed personnel, and coordinate with treatment facilities.
• Safely operate emergency and patient transport vehicles and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Maintain communications with dispatch and treatment facilities using radio and data systems.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and related laws.
