Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas is seeking a Financial Aid & Scholarships Assistant II to provide professional customer service and information processing support for the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. You will assist students and families with questions regarding federal, state, and institutional aid programs, as well as general admissions information.

This role helps monitor front counter operations to ensure a high level of service and performs general office duties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Office experience with customer service responsibilities.
Ability to perform effectively in high-volume environments.
Working knowledge of financial aid policies and processes.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line customer service in person, by phone, and via email; respond to general questions regarding financial aid and scholarship policies and processes.
Under supervision, manage intake and processing of financial aid and scholarship documents; collect, review, upload, and distribute forms; update tracking and imaging systems.
Assist with the verification process by reviewing information in Banner and Workflow systems for accuracy and communicating with applicants.
Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies and procedures.
Assist with training and oversight of student workers.
