Bates College invites applications for the Commons Associate – Service, a full-time dining services role supporting the Bates dining program that serves thousands of meals daily. You will assist on food platforms, manage beverage stations, restock areas, assist with cashiering, and support room set-ups while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists on the food platforms.
• Oversees beverage stations.
• Restocks the choices and cereal areas.
• Assists with cashiering.
• Assists with building duties, room set-ups, etc.
• Ensures that proper sanitation and safety standards are maintained.
• Promotes and values diversity and practices two-way communication.
• Develops an excellent working relationship with other areas of Dining and the institution.
• Maintains the highest levels of customer service practices at all times.
• Attends monthly Dining, Conferences and Campus Events town meetings and monthly sector meetings.
