Job summary

Salt Lake Community College seeks a Coordinator, Accounts Receivable to lead frontline AR activities, assist students and campus partners with balances, billing, payment options, and collections. The role coordinates daily operations, trains staff, maintains materials, and supports process improvements.

The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, ensure compliance with FERPA and college policies, and manage a high-volume, customer-focused workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• 0–3 years of direct, paid full-time accounting experience.
• Direct work experience may be substituted for education (1:1). Additional education may substitute for experience (60 credit hours = 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate frontline student support via phone, email, and in-person.
• Assist students with account balances, billing questions, and collections inquiries.
• Train and mentor staff and student workers.
• Create and update training materials and reference resources.
• Identify and implement process improvements for service efficiency.
• Collaborate with campus departments and external partners to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
